The Smith Compound Band

In 2005 Tracy Smith and Brett Adoff met and became great friends and began rocking together with Tracy on drums and Brett on guitar.  The two then set out to find the best guys they know to play together to form the SCB.

Jack Wieand
, lead guitarist, was introduced to SCB in 2006 after his first band "Tutor" stopped playing. Tracy had known Jack for years and had always admired his talent, as Jack is believed to be the best lead guitarist in the Lehigh Valley.  It wasn't long before Jack accepted the invitation to permanently join SCB and has been jamming with them ever since.

They soon met John Rogers, bassist, who also played with a few local bands for numerous years.  John was admired by the trio and soon was invited to become the fourth member of SCB.  Not only does John provide an amazing bass line on every song, but he also sings backup and sometimes lead.  When John feels bluesy, he'll even impress by taking out his harmonica.

Some may know that a very large piece of land on Macungie's South Mountain overlooks the meadows and villages of Macungie and Alburtis, Pennsylvania.  The land has been owned by the Smith family for many generations and holds the nickname "The Smith Compound".  Since this is where Tracy & Brett built their music studio and share their passion for music with Jack and John,  it was only appropriate to call the group - The Smith Compound Band.  The name, thanks to Misy Adoff (Brett's Wife), will now be forever associated with great classic rock and other variety music hits.
